This blog is related to the biggest achievement of my life (till now), My Fashion Show.
In 2015, I was already having a boutique from last two years, so I thought to let my boutique get one more step up. Somehow with the help of my brother, I got a platform where I can show my collections. BHU (Banaras Hindu University), Department of Agriculture Science where I got an opportunity to launch my collections at their annual function called- SHRISTI . I was so excited and it was like a dream come true, I started planning to organize the event. It wasn’t new for me, I had already participated in fashion shows when I was in college, sometimes as a Designer and sometimes as a Model. I was very friendly with all of these things. The only new thing was that I had never done it before all alone. When I was participating in my college shows, everything was decided by the organizers, I only had to design and prepare 1 dress on the given theme, but this time I had to do it all alone. So, first of all, I chose the theme, and I designed 16 dresses; 4 Lahengas, 4 Suits and 8 Sarees on Indian tradition garments theme. I used fabrics like- Chanderi ( Famous from Varanasi), Silk, Cotton Silk, Georgette, Chiffon, Net etc. I also used the different types of borders, sequins, stones, tackles, hand Embroidery to give then Royal Ethnic look. When the collections got ready, many things were still pending to do. This event was for a University and the department was organizing the Fashion show for the first time, so no one was professional. I got my 16 beautiful models from the university, they were not the professional models so I had to work hard, I chose background song, Style, Make-up, catwalk, poses. I did not take help with any Choreographer, I did the Choreography by myself.
I would like to thank all those beautiful girls who were participated in the show, I am thankful to my Brother (Rakesh Singh), who introduced me as a Designer and a big Thank to IAS Group BHU for giving me that opportunity which I will never ever forget.
